It takes an entire village of parent volunteers to keep the RVMS PSO wheel in motion.  We are grateful for the numerous volunteers that work in the school store, donate items as needed, and give their time to events and activities.  

We are especially grateful to the PSO Leadership team that works tirelessly to put these things in place to keep PSO traditions alive and to bring new, creative ideas to the table.

Join us in Hollywood to celebrate the Rockwood Valley Middle School Class of 2023!  

Friday, May 19^th 7:00-9:00 pm at RVMS

and

Tuesday, May 31st 7:00-8:00pm at Lafayette High School

There is no cost for these events.  The PSO is hosting all 8th grade students.  Donations are welcome to offset expenses.

Parent chaperones are NOT needed for these events, but we do need volunteers to help with dance set up and tear down, and graduation reception set up and serve. Additionally, we will need some items donated. All items need to be dropped off at RVMS on or before the deadline of Monday, May 15th.

Please RSVP for your student, through the link below, if they will be attending the 8th grade dance (No RSVP needed for graduation).

• The last Fun Food Friday for this school year will be on Friday, April 28th.  
• The last day to purchase punch cards for this school year will be Friday, May 22nd.
• The last day the school store will be open is Friday, May 26th.
• Any punch cards with outstanding balances will be discarded at the end of the school year.  Cards will NOT roll over to the 2023-2024 school year.

Be sure to use those cards up before they are gone!

The PSO still needs to fill several committee chair positions for the 2023-2024 school year.

We are sorry to share that due to unforeseen circumstances, the annual Knight Fun Run has been postponed. But it will be back, this fall of 2023.  

We look forward to hosting this event during the next school year and anticipate a wonderful turn out and community involvement.

Thank you so much to all those who contributed to our Sweet and Salty birthday celebration this month for teachers and staff. Last Thursday, we put out a spread of the sweet and salty snacks and it was a big hit with everyone!

We have one more month of staff celebrations to go, information will be coming soon!

New Directors Kary Bachert and Bob Cadigan, as well as returning member Lynne Midyett, were sworn in for three-year terms that will end in the spring of 2026. Bachert and Cadigan were elected on April 4 to fill the seats of outgoing board members Dr. Keith Kinder and Randy Miller, and Midyett was elected to serve a third term. 

The new board also voted unanimously to reaffirm their commitment to the Board Code of Ethics.
