Staff Appreciation Week of May 8th!

Show some love to our teachers and staff!

The end of the school year is fast approaching and next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! That means you may be looking to buy a little something for your student's favorite teacher or staff member. 

We have made it easy for you. We asked the RVMS staff for some of their favorite things and then we put it into a list for you. Click below for some great end of the year gift ideas!

8TH GRADE DANCE & GRADUATION
Don't forget to RSVP & Volunteer!

Registration is now open for the 8th-grade dance and graduation! Your RVMS PSO is hosting all 8th grade students at the 8th grade dance and graduation reception. There is no cost for these events. Donations are welcome to offset expenses.

RSVP, Volunteer, and Donate for the 8th grade dance 

Friday, May 19th 7-9pm at RVMS

and 

8th Grade Graduation

Join us for a reception immediately following the 8th grade graduation ceremony 

Tuesday, May 30th 7:00pm-9:00pm at Lafayette High School

 

Parent chaperones are NOT needed for these events, but we do need several volunteers to help with the dance set-up and tear-down, the graduation reception set-up and serve, and we need some items donated.

  1. RSVP for your student if they will be attending the 8th grade dance (we do not need an RSVP for the graduation)
  2. Volunteer to help with 8th-grade dance and graduation reception
  3. Donate items for the dance and reception. All items need to be dropped off at the school on or before the deadline on May 15th

FUN & FIELD DAY
Volunteers & Donations Needed for 6th Grade Fun & Field Day

Its Fun and Field Day for the 6th graders!  It's time to let loose and have some fun as the 6th graders close out their first successful year at RVMS!

Field Day is on May 31st and is full of fun games, relays, and snacks. Take a look at the sign up and see how you can support this awesome event for your 6th graders.

Pie In The Face Fun-draiser!

Watch for more details coming soon!  Information will be shared with the students at school and the PSO will provide more as we receive.

The week of May 15th students can donate money to support our local heroes while also getting the once in a lifetime opportunity to throw a pie in a principal's face!

Volunteer sign up for the 2023-2024 school year

SCHOOL STORE NEWS
End of Year Update
  • The last day to purchase punch cards for this school year will be Friday, May 22nd.
  • The last day the school store will be open is Friday, May 26th.
  • Any punch cards with outstanding balances will be discarded at the end of the school year.  Cards will NOT roll over to the 2023-2024 school year.

Be sure to use those cards up before they are gone!

DISTRICT NEWS
Rockwood Annual Community Survey

Each spring, the Rockwood School District invites all stakeholders to participate in a Community Survey to provide feedback around topics that include leadership, academics, character education, culture and belonging in Rockwood. The survey is anonymous, and all students, staff, parents and community members are invited and encouraged to participate. 

The survey is open through May 10.
